Curious Tales is a podcast dedicated to sharing the best spooks and scares that classic horror has to offer.

It was launched in July 2017 and quickly rose to the top of the iTunes Podcast ‘Arts’ section, giving sleepless nights to thousands of listeners ever since.

In each episode, your host Jonnie performs one of his favourite tales from the world’s greatest writers, including Edgar Allan Poe, H.P. Lovecraft and M.R. James. The stories are fully acted and ready to raise the hairs.

But remember, they’re only stories…

Jonnie Milne is a writer and actor living in Aberdeen, Scotland. He made his stage debut at the age of 10 and has been a main fixture in the region’s musical theatre scene ever since.

Jonnie broke into the world of podcasting alongside his sister with their geek and pop culture show ‘Chatterating’, which they launched on the advice of acclaimed filmmaker Kevin Smith.

Chatterating would run from 2014 to 2017 and its hiatus led to the creation of Curious Tales.

His love of horror began at a young age, when he first saw the TV movie of ‘The Woman in Black’. From there, he discovered Stephen King’s ‘IT’, ‘The Turn of the Screw’ and stumbled upon the work of M.R. James.

The combination of Jonnie’s performing background and a clear affection for the stories that make up each episode has been a big part of Curious Tales’ early success.
